Dallas Child Psychiatry was founded in 2010. Since its foundation, it has been providing psychiatric services and serving Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) metroplex community at large. At Dallas Child Psychiatry, we are committed to providing excellent patient care to all individuals including Children, Adolescents and Adults. We strongly believe in providing personalized care and treatment to all of our patients. We have a team of highly professional Physician and Staff Members who are efficient and well catered to meeting and accommodating patient needs. Our front-desk staff is extremely courteous and will work with you in scheduling patient appointments. Our office is conveniently located on Communications Pkwy very close to the intersection of Dallas North Tollway and W Parker Rd.

 

Our Physician

Dr AfrinaDr. Mehvesh Afrina is a Board Certified Child, Adolescent and Adult Psychiatrist practicing psychiatry since 2008. She completed her residency training in Psychiatry at John Peter Smith (JPS) hospital in Fort Worth, TX and her fellowship in Child, Adolescent and Adult Psychiatry at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX. Dr. Afrina has extensive experience in both Inpatient and Outpatient clinical settings seeing child, adolescent and adult psychiatry patients on a routine basis. She is well respected and trusted among her peer physicians, staff members and patients. She is extremely humble and pleasant individual. She is married and has 3 wonderful kids. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family.

 

 

 


Our Physician Assistant (PA)
Alex Blaeser
Alex Blaeser is a physician assistant who moved to Texas from Columbus, Ohio. She received her Bachelor of Science with Summa Cum Laude from The Ohio State University. She received her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Ohio Dominican University. She has always had a passion for psychiatry. She has done research in social psychology and neuroscience at The Ohio State University and biobehavioral health research at Nationwide Children’s Hospital prior to PA school. Finding herself in this position was a natural fit. She is passionate about spending time outdoors so the move from chilly Ohio to warm Texas was quite easy. In her free time, you can find her hiking and kayaking alongside her husband and two beagles.

 

 

 

 


Our Physician Assistant (PA)

Dr. LaKeesha Easterling is a Master’s level Licensed Professional Counselor-Intern, who also has a Doctorate in Education. She is a military veteran and a person of natural curiosity. LaKeesha received her Doctor of Education degree from Argosy University, her M.Ed. in Guiding and Counseling from Bowie State University and a BAS in Psychology from Dallas Baptist University. She has always had a passion for both education and counseling. As a National Certified Counselor and a Certified School Counselor, LaKeesha has worked with children and adults of all ages. She also has several years of experience in career counseling, mental health counseling and as an Assistant Professor. LaKeesha is passionate about her family, traveling to new places and learning new things.
