My name is Sarah Makhamreh, and I am a board certified Physician Assistant. I attended the University of Texas at Dallas and received a Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Studies. I have further continued my education and received a Master’s degree of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.

I have always held a career in pediatrics and knew that my talents best belong there while working as a Physician Assistant. During my program, I found and nurtured a love for psychiatry. Growing up in a culture where mental health is very stigmatized, I became determined to work with patients in psychiatry to break this chain. I aim to empower and support patients through their current struggles to become emotionally capable and functional adults. I am empathetic, energetic, and an active listener. I believe in encouraging patients to become engaged in their treatment and develop healthy lifestyle choices.

During my free time, I enjoy baking, embroidering, hiking, and spending time with my husband and two cats, Mouse and Pepper!
