Alia Madani is a board-certified physician assistant. She completed her Bachelors of Science
in Neuroscience from the University of Texas at Dallas and received her Masters of
Physician Assistant studies from the University of Texas at Rio Grande Valley. Alia is very
passionate about working in psychiatry, and wants to help bridge the gap in healthcare as
well as reduce stigma around mental health. During her general primary care rotations, she
realized she wanted to pursue a career in psychiatry after seeing how mental health seeps
into every aspect of patient care. Alia is a great listener who is open minded and empathetic
towards patients concerns. She is determined to help patients realize as well as attain their goals. Alia believes in a balanced approach of medication management as well as
encouraging lifestyle changes and introspection.
Alia provides medication management and supportive therapy under direct supervision of Dr. Afrina. In her free time she likes to read books and spend time with friends and family.
